The structure and representation of the Petronas Twin Towers

 The arabesque patterns of the eight-sided star characterises the floor plan of the towers. The structure was completed in the year 1998 but even now, it does not cease to epitomise the futuristic Kuala Lumpur.

The sparkling look of the twin towers comes from the materials they are made from. Both the towers are encased with vision glass and steel. There are 33,000 multi faceted stainless steel walls and 55,000 glass panels. To clean a structure this large, it takes almost two months.

The towers consist of 88 storeys which makes them the tallest twin towers in the world. The five pillars of Islamic region is represented by the five tiers of the towers. At night, the towers are brilliantly lit which offer a picturesque view. The Petronas Twin Towers represent unity, harmony , rationality and stability.
