You embark on an exploratory 4-hour excursion through Langkawi's mangroves to find rare plant and animal species. Many of them manage to survive through cunning means in a dynamic environment that is constantly changing due to the ebb and flow of the tides. The northeast of the island's mangrove woods and historic limestone outcrops can be explored by boat after a brief drive to the jetty.

Mangrove forests are crucial to preserving the planet's ecological balance. They affect the environment, offer cover, and serve as important fish and prawn nidifiers. Watch out for the strange land-walking fishes as you float through the mangroves. Keep an eye out for kingfishers that are brightly flashing and gaze up.

The fixed menu for the optional lunch includes chicken fried rice and the day's iced beverage. Depending on the sea and weather, the tour includes a 30-minute beach stop. The tour lasts 6 hours in total, including the roundtrip 2-hour journey from your hotel.
